Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business Intelligence Delivery Lead to lead and manage our BI projects from start to finish. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in BI and data analytics, as well as proven project management skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining Power BI dashboards and reports. This role requires a strong understanding of data visualization, business intelligence concepts, and experience in Power BI development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning and Execution:
- Define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders
- Develop detailed project plans, including defining scope, objectives, and deliverables.
- Manage project development and testing resources and identify resource requirements in advance.
- Establish project timelines and milestones, ensuring efficient use of resources.
- Ensure timely delivery of project milestones and deliverables.
- Team Leadership and Management:
- Lead, mentor, and manage project teams, ensuring they have the necessary tools and support to complete tasks.
- Assign tasks and responsibilities based on the team’s skillset and project needs.
- Track team progress and resolve any issues or obstacles that arise.
- Stakeholder Communication:
- Maintain regular communication with clients, executives, and key stakeholders, providing project updates, risk assessments, and progress reports.
- Facilitate project meetings, ensuring alignment among all parties.
- Quality Assurance and Delivery:
- Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports according to business requirements.
- Gather and analyze data from various sources, ensuring data accuracy and quality.
- Design and implement data models and transformations to support data visualization needs.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their reporting and analytics requirements.
- Create visually appealing and interactive reports and dashboards using Power BI best practices.
- Optimize performance and ensure the scalability of Power BI solutions.
- Troubleshoot issues and provide timely resolution to technical problems.
- Conduct thorough testing and validation of Power BI solutions to ensure accuracy.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and developments in Power BI and data visualization.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Experience:
- 5-6 years of experience in Power BI development and data analytics.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in project management, with a proven track record of successfully managing multiple projects.
- Strong proficiency in Power BI, including DAX, data modelling, and report/dashboard design.
- Solid understanding of relational databases and SQL.
- Experience in data analysis, data transformation, and data cleansing.
- Knowledge of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and tools.
- Familiarity with data warehouse concepts and dimensional modeling.
